MIYAJI ENSEMBLE – TOKYO

The ensemble is made up of stringed instrument enthusiasts, mainly students of stringed instruments at the Miyaji School of Music. Previously, they held similar  concerts in Cremona - at the Palazzo Cattaneo in 2015 and at the Church of Santa Maria Maddalena in 2018 - with a positive public response. This will be their third time performing in the city.
The members of the ensemble have different professions and practice for concerts in their free time. Even though they are all amateur musicians, they have a strong love for stringed instruments and Cortile Federico II's performance is a testimony of this love.

KYOKO YAMAMOTO

Kyoko Yamamoto graduated from the Toho Girls' High School music department, majoring in strings. After graduating from the Toho Gakuen School of Music, she became a violinist in the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. After leaving the orchestra, she became a musician and teacher.
