The concert of the University Choir of the Conservatory Bob Cole of California, conducted by M° Jonathan Talberg, will take place at the Cathedral of Cremona, on Sunday 28th May, at 21.00, together with the choir of the Istituto di Istruzione Superiore A.Stradivari of Cremona, conducted by Maestro Pietro Triacchini, accompanied by the organ Marco Brunelli.

The choir of the Bob Cole Conservatory Chamber consists of about 45 singers aged 19 to 30 who will perform a cappella in a program with pieces by musicians such as: Johann Sebastian Bach, Maurice Duruflé, Eriks Esenvalds, Jocelyn Hagen, Shavon Lloyd, James Erb, Olivier Messian, Felix Mendelssohn, Thomas Weelkes, Moses Hogan, Robert Shaw, Alice Parker, Saunder Choi and Christopher Harris; while the Choir of the Institute of Higher Education A.Stradivari of Cremona, will perform in a repertoire of sacred music with works by: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Maurice Duruflé, Giovanni Catelli, and Cèsar Frank.

The concert is free and subject to availability.

The initiative is part of the Masterclass project, promoted by the Chamber of Commerce and the Municipality of Cremona, with the contribution of the Lombardy Region, in collaboration with the Liutai Consortium "Antonio Stradivari" Cremona, the International School of Violin Making, the Cremona International Spring Music Festival, organized by the Liceo Musicale Stradivari.

California Bob Cole Conservatory Choir

The Bob Cole Chamber Choir is one of the most famous collegiate choirs in America, has performed worldwide, including at the Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s, won the Pavarotti Trophy and the Choir of the World at the Welsh Isteddfod and the First Prize at the International Choir in Spittal, Austria. They have performed at eight amazing conferences of the American Choral Directors Association and at many other festivals and conferences around the world.

The Choir of the Liceo musicale "A. Stradivari" of Cremona

The Choir of the Liceo musicale "A. Stradivari" of Cremona was born as an additional activity to the Choral Singing Laboratory, a discipline present in the curricular plan of studies regarding ensemble music. Established in 2012 at the behest of Prof. Pietro Triacchini, it currently boasts a training of about thirty students belonging to all classes of the Lyceum. The repertoire, exclusively of sacred music, ranges from Renaissance polyphony to 20th-century vocal literature. He has already performed in various locations in the provinces of Cremona, Brescia, Lodi, Mantua, and Piacenza.
