Teatro Monteverdi

Via Dante, 149
26100 Cremona
Italy

The National Festival of Young Instrumentalists in Arco is programmed on Sunday 21st May, at 14:00, at the Monteverdi Theater, and it is organized by Esta-Italia. The event sees as protagonists young soloists or chamber groups from all Italian regions selected and invited by the Steering Committee of Esta-Italia.

Entrance is free and subject to availability.

The initiative is realized within the project Masterclass, promoted by the Chamber of Commerce and Municipality of Cremona, with the patronage of the Antonio Stradivari Violin Museum Foundation, Liutai Consortium Foundation "Antonio Stradivari" and Conservatorio Claudio Monteverdi Cremona.

ESTA, the European String Teachers' Association, was established in 1972 on the initiative of the Austrian professor Marianne Kroemer, to encourage the exchange of pedagogical and cultural experiences at an international level.

This association regularly organizes many conferences and musical meetings for young people, refresher seminars for teachers, Masterclass, and historical research with monographic conferences dedicated to the great instrumentalists in our recent past with hundreds of national and international participation.

The day, in addition to being a time of show and test for young instrumentalists, is an opportunity for meeting and discussion for members of the association who can talk and learn more about the many activities of ESTA.
