"My music at first listening may seem light in the most superficial sense of the word, but this is also my strength. I seek lightness and to do so I often have to dig deep to find my emotions. My goal in music is to communicate deep feelings with lightness. "This is how Sangiovanni describes the way he approaches songs. And it is a way that has achieved extraordinary results, which have consecrated him a revelation artist: eighteen platinum records and three gold, over one hundred million streaming for his "Malibu" which is the most listened song of 2021 both on Spotify and Apple Music and the most watched video of 2021 on Vevo. Records also on Tik Tok: two tracks of Sangiovanni - Malibu and Lady - are in the absolute top 5 of creations of the year.

Freely inspired by the film Ginger and Fred by Federico Fellini, a project by and with Daria Deflorian and Antonio Tagliarini and with Cecilia Bertozzi and Chiara Boitani assistant director Chiara Boitani costumes Metella Raboni lighting design Giulia Pastore Deflorian/ Tagliarini admit us their first research on Fellini’s Ginger & Fred, that will lead to a multi-actor stage show in the fall. (...) Two tables, one facing the other, separated by a mirror, are made up by two very young girls. (...) They talk about the fear of growing old, of feeling forever young that is of an entire generation, much younger apparently in an age more or less similar to that that Masina and Mastroianni had at the time of the film. They expose their relationships with old people and with aging. They appear in them Pippo and Amalia, the characters of the film by Fellini, she who eventually leaves, after the last performance in the squinternatissimo TV show that brought them together, returns to the country and family, he who do not know what he will do next. Yeah, what’s next for us? What is waiting for Pippo, who is seated on a bench in despair, after she has boarded the train? (Massimo Marino, Doppiozero, 31 July 2021)

15th october- JACOPO Jenna- some choreographyore 18.30/20.30

Some choreography is built through the imitation (mimesis) of a multitude of video fragments mounted in a tight sequence, rummaging through the history of dance and performance, through the cinema, and the internet. The dancer Ramona Caia brings to the present the body of the image, probes its dynamics, freedom, and linguistic immediacy, and eradicates it from the imagination in the performance of an exact choreography. An original video by the artist Roberto Fassone offers a sequence of visual choreography, a symbolic landscape where the human is absent but still looking for a relationship with the body on stage and reflects on that intangible matter of which the dance is made. The work of choreographer, performer, and filmmaker Jacopo Jenna investigates the perception of dance and choreography as an extended practice, generating various performative contexts in which to relocate the body about movement. His projects have been presented at international festivals, museums, and institutions

16th october - The opera reveals itself: Don Giovanni h 11.00
21st october - Don Giovanni h 20.00

The second work in the trilogy by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Lorenzo Da Ponte (which also includes Le Nozze di Figaro and Così fan Tutte), the story of Don Giovanni has its roots in seventeenth-century European literature: The literary birthplace of the burlador de Sevilla was the Spanish Tirso de Molina, followed by many other famous theatre authors, including Molière and Goldoni. The debut of the Mozart opera took place in October 1787 in Prague and sanctioned a real triumph for composer and librettist: Mozart and Da Ponte, who had been able to transform the story of a licentious and unrepentant libertine, noble only by birth, in an absolute musical and dramatic masterpiece, rich in narrative situations and musical moments of great heterogeneity. It seems that at the first Prague opera was also present the now more than sixty Giacomo Casanova. The messianic of extraordinary level sees the direction of Mario Martone, resumed by Raffaele Di Florio, while on the podium the Maestro. Riccardo Bisatt

Lili, pianist, and composer, with her tragic and untimely death, involuntarily pushed Nadia towards an academic career. A pupil of Gabriel Fauré, and assistant to Paul Dukas, she was a pianist, organist, composer, conductor, musicologist, and a pedagogue who, by combining strict discipline and great openness of spirit, left her mark on numerous generations of composers: Leonard Bernstein, Astor Piazzolla, Aaron Copland, Elliot Carter, Pierre Boulez, Daniel Barenboim, Philip Glass, Quincy Jones, and many others. This program is a tribute to the formidable personality of Nadia Boulanger and her influence on her students, who have always called her Mademoiselle.

4th november La Gioconda h 20.00
6th november- La Gioconda h 15.30

The Ponchielli Theatre pays homage to the composer to whom the building is named, Amilcare Ponchielli, proposing a title absent from the city stage since 1996. The Mona Lisa is the work of Ponchielli always expected by melomani as a special event. The libretto by Arrigo Boito, based on the play Angelo Tyran de Padoue by Victor Hugo, draws a dark and mysterious Venice, the scene of passionate and criminal excesses, perfectly mirrored by the composer’s generous and captivating melodic vein. A historical fresco with a dishevelled imprint that requires six leading performers, one for each vocal register. The brilliant direction is entrusted to Giampaolo Bisanti, a figure highly appreciated by the specialized press, while scenes and direction bear the refined signature of Filippo Tonon .

la Gioconda
8th november- Creation 2022 h 20:30

An outburst, a confession, a monologue danced, spoken, and screamed. A reflection on the existential and artistic crisis of a choreographer/dancer during and after the pandemic. Between despair and irony, is a tragicomic, poetic, and autobiographical story that stands as an ideal continuation of Jessica and Me, a show created in 2014 and still on tour. Cristiana Morganti is a dancer and choreographer, after graduating in classical dance at the National Academy of Dance in Rome and contemporary dance at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen. He has worked in Germany with Susanne Linke, Urs Dietrich, and Felix Ruckert, and with the company Neuer Tanz directed by VA Wölfl and Wanda Golonka. To deepen the study of voice and theatrical research he studied with the actors of the Odin Teatret of Eugenio Barba. From 1993 to 2014 Cristiana Morganti was the solo dancer of the Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, with whom she continues to collaborate as an invited artist. During his 20 years with the Tanztheater under the direction of Pina Bausch, he participated in numerous creations and danced in almost all shows of the repertoire.

2nd december- La Traviata h 20.00

«La Traviata made a fiascone (...). But what do you want? I’m not upset about it. I’m wrong or they’re wrong. For me, I believe that the last word on La Traviata is not that of Ieri sera. La rivedran - no and we will see!». Giuseppe Verdi could not have been more prophetic than this: despite the resounding failure of the premiere at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice on 6 March 1853, La Traviata, the third and last title of the so-called Verdi popular trilogy, has become one of the most beloved and represented works of the Swan of Busseto. This new staging, which sees the Ponchielli Theatre engaged in the production as the Theatre leader for OperaLombardia, shows the musical direction of the young and acclaimed Enrico Lombardi, while the direction is by Luca Baracchini, who with his young creative team was the winner of the Under 35 competition for a project directed by La Traviata for the Circuito OperaLombardia 2022/23.

6th decemberPARSONS DANCE  h 20.30 - David Parsons choreography

A cornerstone of post-modern dance made in the US, Parsons Dance perfectly embodies the disruptive strength of dance full of energy and positivity, acrobatic and communicative at the same time. The creations of Parsons, first of all, the famous Caught of 1982, bear the mark of an extraordinary theatricality and a physical work that turns into virtuosity and lightness. It is a solar dance, which amuses as an expression of joy, capable of transmitting simple and direct emotions, and extremely accessible to the general public. Fundamental remains the role of lighting designer Howell Binkley (winner of a Tony Award for the Broadway show Hamilton) that enhances with imagination and imagination the performance of the company that boasts a vast repertoire of original choreography. The music ranges from Rossini and Mozart to jazz by Phil Woods and Miles Davis, from the legendary Brazilian musician Milton Nascimento to Robert Fripp, guitarist and founder of the historic English rock band King Crimson, from the popular music of the Dave Matthews Band to the famous hits of Earth Wind Fire. Parsons Dance embodies the most genuine sense of a dance that points straight to the emotion and hidden desire of each spectator to dance, jump and rejoice together with the dancers...

10th december h 20.30- Andrea Chiodi directed A Midsummer Night’s Dream, one of Shakespeare’s best-known lyrics The production sees on stage a cast of fourteen actors and here ... "Reality and fantasy, Athens and the enchanted forest, Teseo, and Oberon - says the director - all in the work tells us of rationality and magic, of thought and ritual, always on a double track and above all always through the medium of almost childish play, of children’s whim, the fears of children and especially the ability to play to be something else by itself that only children seem to have and that in reality is often so desired even by adults. Maybe the way Shakespeare points us is to get back in touch with the irrational, with the child that everyone has inside of them."

sogno di una notte di mezza estate

14th december- music- Monteverdi Orchestra Cremona Antiqua Festival h 20.00

The works of Haydn, Bach, and Mozart are usually performed with modern instruments, because most of these works, unlike the ancient and baroque ones, have been played continuously from the time of writing to today. In this way the contemporary styles that gradually stratified in this period, have meant that the stylistic signature of the time has gradually diluted, moving away from the original. The use in the concert of original instruments of the classical era and early romanticism, or their copies, mounted according to canons of the late 700 or early 800, using historical bows of the classical period - combined with the expertise of the musicians involved, specialists in this repertoire and the use of such instruments - allows the resurgence of the original sound of this music in all its beauty, glitter, color, breath and phrasing. This repertoire was written following codified rules, which a heavier modern bow and a modern instrument with different frames and tuning - harbingers of greater power but less intimacy of sound - are not able to fully respect. While not believing that this type of execution is the only correct one, it is undeniable that these elements contribute to a fundamental paradigm change in language, capable of generating a new and unexpected listening experience in the ears of contemporary audiences. A novelty, in short, to be included in concert programs.

17th december - A DISCREET PROTAGONIST h 18.00 and 20.30

A discreet protagonist is the story of an instant, the instant of time that goes out of its hinges, or even before time, in which balance and symmetry break to start time. No bang, no noise, just a temporary vibration of the air. The symmetry shatters, and blurry presences overlap and mix. They turn and change into a constant expansion. They are scattered remnants and fragments, which is a fluid space try to recompose themselves in shapes dictated by geometric relationships, which always generate different relationships. The project A discreet protagonist was born from the encounter between Damiano Ottavio Bigi, dancer and choreographer, and Alessandra Paoletti, actress and theatre director, with the Polish dancer and choreographer Łukasz Przytarski, to open a space for reflection and exchange on the creative process and the question of the composition of the movement and the structure.

26th december- The village of the Bells h 16:00

The Land of Bells, the most famous Italian operetta, is 100 years old!

This work by Ranzato / Lombardo links his success to the lightness and joy of the text, combined with easy melodies and immediate impact. It is said that, already after the first performance at the Teatro Lirico in Milan, many songs were sung or whistled in the streets by the Milanese.

An imaginative canvas with a touch of exoticism, a colorful and imaginary village, the colorful costumes of the protagonists and an elegant and graceful dramaturgy, are the strengths of this edition of the centenary. The story takes us to an imaginary Dutch island where above every house there is a small bell tower with a bell. According to legend, these bells ring whenever a betrayal occurs and to sow the disorder in the quiet Land of the Bells comes a ship of sailors.

Many misunderstandings and misunderstandings that will amuse the public on a festive afternoon!
